A damp and drizzly day for the second qualifying round of strokeplay for the Murray Cup
Putter (2-Ball)
5th hole; a double green shared with the 13th. Mishit my chip, was left with a very long putt and a three putt looked inevitable. I hit an excellent lag putt to 3 feet and then sank the putt for a 2 putt I just wouldn't have made. (this might seem a funny thing to put here, but I'm just so proud of this,as lag putting had been a big issue & I'd worked on it the previous week.)

24 degree hybrid
I'd been in the front bunker on 18, with a front pin position, and had slightly underhit my bunker shot trrying to get a bit too cute. My ball was about 3 feet off the green, on a slight up slope at the junction of fairway and fringe. Mindful of Dave Pelz Damage Control Setupology, I made sure my spine angle was perpendicular to the slope made a good rehearsal swing then concentrated on recreating that, as I did and then watched the ball pour into the centre of the cup for a sandy par- my third!

Putter
10th hole- a nasty long par three with upturned elevated green and eleavted tee with a gorse filled gully and fairly heavy rough that's wrecked many a resolution to have a good back nine. I had about an 8-10 foot putt on a tricky green, made a good rehearsal swing and concentrated on recreating that whilst making a smooth swing, and watched the ball pour into the centre of the hole, to hear David my supportive and friendly playing parnter declare "we'll make a golfer of you yet!" in delight ;-)
